Reprint: Gym Class, Bookshelf Porn & Tourist

A selection of appealing things recently noticed on travels round the internet.

First up is something we can never get enough of giving props to: the magnificent bods behind Gym Class Magazine, ‘the quality fanzine for creative people’. Their current issue dotes on magazines themselves, suitably, as their blog is one long paean to beautiful print works.

Something they recently put us on to: Bookshelf Porn. Go there. Enjoy. What’s not to love? We particularly adored one comment, supplied via twitter: “You have single-handedly disuaded me from buying a Kindle.” Nawww. Also: yes.

If you can drag yourself away, please help us work out quite how much we like Tourist Magazine. +10 for content and style, -3 for design-based faffiness. We are simple folk! We like minimal jumpiness on our websites. It reminds us too much of the dark days of Flash design. Also worth a time-loss: Art Wednesday.

Oh and finally, the ridiculous we-have-to-mention-it debate of the hour: Wired’s claim that the web is dead. Gawker’s response will do just fine, as far as we’re concerned.
