Meanwhile in Brazil: Did you miss Lucas Nascimento?

One of the less celebrated fashion highlights of the summer (this side of the Atlantic at least) was the SS11 collection from Lucas Nascimento.

It seemed to have happened ahead of season because the show was a part of Fashion Rio. Which is in the southern hemisphere. Which means that when it’s summer here, it’s winter there. Whatever. This breathtaking collection with towering clogs by long-time collaborator Klaus Jurgen-Schmidt – demonstrated a level of originality most designers can only dream of.

Look after look of off-key prints, pleated tennis skirts, silk chiffon and cork-effect PVC – masterful and truly exciting to see a new designer taking creative risks tastefully. Take note London.
