From the start of the show Hannah Marshall’s collection seemed to be playing with length from mini to maxi, using sheer fabrics as a tool to build-in different layers. There was also a strong suggestion of tailoring in the shape of shirts, blazers and trousers, but with clever fabric choices it doesn’t feel too androgynous. Opening with several all black looks, the show then took a dramatic turn into taupe for the rest of the collection. Along with the change in colour came a slight change in shape, with taller, exaggerated pleating being added to many looks to play with body proportions. This pleated effect, combined with cropped and cut-out garments made for a mature, sleek collection from the British designer.
