Reflections Film Season – National Gallery

A water-themed film exhibition is hitting the National Gallery’s Sainsbury Wing from 16th October – 4 December and is only £6/£4 concessions. Films like Wes Anderson’s 2004 classic The Life Aquatic and Josef von Sternberg’s beautifully shot The Docks of New York will be screened, alongside French director Agnes Varda’s new film La Pointe Courte and I Malavolgia, La Terra Trema, based on the novel by Giovanni Verga.

The season has been organized to coincide with the National Gallery’s major autumn exhibition, Venice: Canaletto and His Rivals. So if you’re into water (who isn’t) and want to watch some old amazing cinema, definitely check this out.
