Roundhouse Rising – An Explosion of Emerging Music

February. Ugh. No one likes February.  28 days of unremitting misery, shrouded in darkness and dampness – and it gets worse. Just when you think your towering anguish has reached its hopeless peak, along comes Valentine’s – an unavoidable carnival of smugness, that makes you feel like a dejected nonentity.

So, what to do – suicide? Don’t be so hysterical. Wait a week, and find solace in music. Allow your gloom to fade and your excitement to rise for Roundhouse Rising – the new week-long festival which is ready to hit NW1, with the finest blend of new music and unique talent. Programmed in partnership with some of the UK’s hottest promoters, including Eat Your Own Ears and the Featured Artist Coalition, Rising promises to supply a platform for exciting, flourishing young talent and this is your opportunity to catch these artists that are ‘about to break’.

Roundhouse Rising’s desired objective is to supply a fresh and unique music festival that celebrates variety; from up-and-coming local musicians, to established international acts. Alongside dynamic live performances, are a series insightful educational seminars from the likes of Billy Bragg and Emily Eavis. This north London festival is not only keen to promote young emerging artists, but it is also keen to educate and nurture such creativity and enthusiasm – A series of valuable workshops and masterclasses will be available throughout the days for 11-25 year old to learn skills such as remixing, sound engineering, film, radio and photography – taught by distinguished musicians such as Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers), Viv Albertine (The Slits), and Didz (Dirty Pretty Things).

So rather than woefully dwelling on your bleak Winter hardships, pop along to Roundhouse Rising from Monday 21st to Saturday the 26th of February – Tickets can be bought here.
