A Good Ol’ Knees Up: The Old Queen’s Head is 5!
This February business is all just a tad blah isn’t it? The nights still close in outlandishly fast, everything is kind of grey and non- anything, and well it’s just a bit rubbish isn’t it? And, and I’m stressing the ‘and’ here, that’s not even taking into consideration St Valentine’s Day, the day of petrol station bought flower bouquets- but i don’t want to talk about that. It’s all quite depressing…
Anyways, fear not. February doesn’t have to be so very dull. It has its perks, just like any other month. This February sees the North London haunt The Old Queen’s Head celebrates its 5th birthday. Now that’s something to break into bouts of applause about surely. And- I’m stressing the ‘and’ once again, it’s not just one night of pure, unadulterated, musical exquisiteness for your delectation, it’s a whole bloody week. That’s one whole week of musical and (depending on your mid-week drinking habits) potentially inebriated loveliness.
Lined up are absolutely top notch acts and DJs including The Mystery Jets, The Maccabees, Various Cruelties, Tribes, The Agitator, Sound of Rum, Rob Da Bank and newly confirmed Oxford newcomers Chad Valley. Sounds like a bit of alright doesn’t it? If you like me think so, get you self down there soonish.
