The show was the perfect depiction 1930’s tailoring with a modern twist. The pleating and draping of the fabrics into surprisingly modern geometric shapes, (which echoed the few printed pieces) created a classic aesthetic, with pieces for women of every age. The light, pleated chiffon maxi skirts in bolder colours such as yellow, are sure to appeal to the younger generation (as maxi has been the new mini since the seventies look re-emerged last season), with the heavier fabrics such in tones of beige and grey will fall prey to the more sophisticated, working woman. The eclectic mix of prints, pleats and lace has never been pulled off in a more stylish manner. The silk headscarves and vintage gloves complemented the 1930’s tailoring and inspiration, with the knee high socks adding a playful vibe.
