One of the best of the new labels showing on the “Ones to Watch MEN” catwalk was Mr Lipop- the brainchild of Tom Lipop (a one time Project Catwalk competitor and former designer for House of Holland)
First out-and setting the tone for the collection-was a navy outfit, comprising of a jumper with fur-lined hood, shorts and a leather boxy backpack. Following on; matching brown suede shirt and shorts and then a mod-ish maroon wool suit with a dropped crotch trousers.
However, the Mr Lipop signature this season was definitely his outerwear. A gorgeous layered trench with detachable bottom appeared in both white cashmere like fabric and burgundy, after which Lipop offered up a navy hooded overcoat and to close the show; a sumptuous leather and shearling number. There was even a French resistance inspired leather trench, styled with a black beret and polo neck.
A really beautiful collection of well made and well thought out clothes that perfectly demonstrated his “less is more” aesthetic.
