After we provided you with Rainbow’s Arabia’s own views and perception of their music in yesterday’s interview with Tiffany Preston, today we give you the other side of the coin. We catch a snippet of how NGUZUNGUZU interprets the worldly dance music of Rainbow Arabia. Mixing a plethora of percussion- marimbas, steel drums, djembes- with electronic drum beats and gutteral manipulated vocals, this remix is composition that, like Rainbow Arabia’s other songs on their new album ‘Boys and Diamonds’, manages to mix Western electronic music with a sounds from a wide range of other cultures, with astounding results.
