As we get in the mindset of festival season, it’s time to start riffling through the abundance of festivals and pick out which ones we want to attend. While the biggies like Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Reading may already be sold out, that doesn’t mean the smaller ones should be last minute choices. In fact it’s usually the smaller, more offbeat ones that are a lot more enjoyable. Think about it, less people, better toilet situations. Anyway. One of the smaller festivals in mention is Flow; an amazing weekend of live experimental music and all things arty.
Set in the historic Suvilahti area of Finland, the three-day weekend has released a list of beyond-brilliant acts already confirmed for the festival. Touching base with a wide variety of genres, the line-up consists of: Kanye West, Lykke Li, Iron and Wine, Warpaint and Mogwai, among many others. This year will be Flow’s eighth inning and the team behind it promise to offer you a weekend you’ll never forget. A mix of indoor and outdoor venues, clubs that go on until 3am and huge installations decorating the site, Flow boasts a festival that’s enjoyable for everyone.
With an expansion of two tents being added to the bill this year, Flow continues to offer it’s punters a wide variety of entertainment. So whether you’re in the mood for something urban, a bit of indie or maybe something completely different you won’t be hard pushed to find it here.
Three day tickets are already available from Seetickets for a mere £100 (+booking fees). A bargain at half the price! Day tickets will be on sale in May via Finnish ticket outlet, Tiketti. I’m not going to lie; you’d be pretty darn stupid to miss out on this one.
For the full line-up so far and everything else you need to know, head over to the Flow Festival website and book yourself a weekend away in Finland.
