Sailing on Selfridges’ Roof

Ever thought about going boating in London? Of course. Ever thought about boating on Selfridges roof? Probably not, but it’s time to change that and to start thinking about it, as Selfridges are transforming their roof by flooding it and creating a lake and crystal island- bet this is sounding better than your usual London boating already. In all, the roof will hold 12 rowing boats on an emerald green lake, complete with a waterfall-  and to create a celebratory mood- lake side cocktails and life guards.

The reason for this other-worldly event is to celebrate the UK arrival of TruviaR sweetener, which is made from the stevia plant which is 200 times sweeter than sugar! Just to make sure we what they are, the roof will have 8000 stevia plants for us to ohh and ahh at and even to sample this new sweet taste.

Now, you’re probably thinking- how on earth am I going to afford this? And here’s the best bit: it’s free! All you have to do is click here and register for a ticket -or two- and you could soon be floating with two complimentary cocktails in hand, six storeys above central London. Hurry- you know these will go quickly!
