Absolut Creative: Get Involved!

Having previously worked with the likes of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Douglas Gordon and Louise Bourgeois, Sweden’s ABSOLUT is well-placed to be collabbing with a new generation of stellar artists.

ABSOLUT BLANK is the vodka label’s new creative movement, in which ABSOLUT appears as a catalyst for cutting-edge creativity. The initiative comprises 18 artist collaborations, films, print and outdoor ads, events and even a digital art piece that lives and evolves in your mobile phone.

The 18 artists participating in ABSOLUT BLANK represent a variety of creative disciplines; from drawing, painting and sculpting to print making, film making and digital art. Among the artworks are UVA’s high intensity, bright and striking light installations, Mario Wagner’s cut-out imagery and the graphic design of Robert Mars, the colorful painting of  Dave Kinsey and the detailed work of Good Wives and Warriors, best known for making labor-intensive, imaginative, intricate and large-scale drawings with brilliant titles such as ‘Giant Squids Attacking the Earth’.

ABSOLUT BLANK content is all previewable on their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ABSOLUTUK) now.  The campaign will see seven of the artist collaborators (David Bray, Aesthetic Apparatus, Dave Kinsey, Good Wives and Warriors, Mario Wagner, UVA and Thomas Doyle) create their ABSOLUT BLANK masterpieces, giving viewers a chance to see what happens when these creatives are presented with an ABSOLUT BLANK canvas. This’ll be followed up with TV spots, behind the scenes footage on Facebook and the awesome app which sees the bottle shape morph and develop over time, which can then be shared on Facebook.

Friends of ABSOLUT BLANK on Facebook will also be automatically entered into a prize draw which will see a lucky winner win a specially commissioned piece of ABSOLUT BLANK artwork by fashionista, illustrator and all around good gal Bip Ling.

We’re already getting hyped about the possibilities that this project will throw our way, and we urge you guys to hit the ABSOLUT Facebook page and get involved.
