Sugar Fest is a festival that welcomes clubbers and ravers to dance side by side to the innovative sounds of upfront dance music. Amongst the line-up is Club Beat favourite, Matt Paynter, making this an unmissable event.
Sugar is the newest dance night in the South West, showcasing local and national DJs, playing house, trance and hard house. Previous events have included Organ Donors, Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, Ministry’s Gavyn Mytchell and John 00 Fleming. At Sugar Fest, music ranges from drum ‘n’ bass, old skool, dubstep & house to techno, hardstyle, hard trance & hard house.

Matt Paynter’s unique style of raw tech house, stripped back techno and tribal grooves has seen him rock packed out floors alongside A list DJs. He is currently a resident for Housework and Together and has recently joined Savage Artist Management. In April, he blew us away when he teamed up with Marcus Gauntlett to created Heat Control, our no.1 release of the month. The track received support from well-respected DJs: Tiesto: 5/5, Armin van Buuren: 4/5 (Epic!) and Judge Jules: 5/5 (Nice track, like it!). Matt told Club Beat he has plans to head back into the studio with Marcus to build on the success of Heat Control and will be starting a more prog based duo in the near future. He told us his set at Sugar Fest will be quite electro/techno in style, developing organically with the crowd’s responses. With some new tracks and collaborations in the pipeline, you can also catch Matt Paynter at Housework and Rubadubdub events.
