Cheap Monday Presented: Cheap Monday

On Monday night, Shoreditch’s Biscuit Building played host to the fantastic launch party celebrating Cheap Monday’s first UK store in Selfridges.

The venue was transformed into a Cheap Monday environment with inspiration on all things low fi – dominated by raw, basic materials. The walls were covered in brown Cheap Monday paper, branded boxes were piled high and the glass entrance pane had been taken over by the notorious representative skull.

Eager staff were at hand to pass out Cheap Monday’s very own currency to exchange at the bar, and no effort was wasted as guests were promptly invited to get snapped in a photo booth – later to be projected onto the reception wall. As tote goodie bags were also passed around, guests soon filled the hosting reception floor in anticipation of international live act INTL.

Cheap Monday championed up and coming musicians throughout the evening, with Dj’s – Is Tropical, Marie Claire, Oh MY! and Wade Crescent providing an impressive mix of sounds to compliment the energetic atmosphere.

What a way for the brand to establish its mark in London. The new store – designed by Swedish Architect and Design firm Uglycute is now open and is located on the menswear department on the 1st floor of Selfridges, Oxford Street.
