LFW: MAN on Film

Our favourite MAN designers, Shaun Samson, Matthew Miller, and Martine Rose teamed up with Fashion East and Hidden Agency to make three very fashionable films. Veritible feasts for the eyes, you can watch them right here:

Shaun Samson’s film, like his SS12 collection, is an early 90s grunge, Californian and Mexican inspired piece. The chilled out model dude is sporting the Mexican blanket prints from the collection while he daydreams of crashing breakers, the crying of gulls and hazy sunsets.

Up next, Matthew Miller’s film demonstrates the clean, white, futuristic simplicty of his collection. Shot at an abandoned construction site down on London’s Docklands. Isolated, technical and clinical, it really is quite mesmerising.

Martine Rose’s film takes a very different approach. Heavily nostalgic and adopting a more documentary style towards its skater subject, we are given a considered musing on rebelious, outsider youth. Filmed at Mile End Skate Park and London’s Crystal Palace Park, it complements an interesting collection perfectly.
