Preview: Future Shorts Launches First Global Film Festival

Ever fancied immersing yourself in an alternative film festival? Well soon you can do exactly that, but from the cosy comforts of your own abode.

Kicking off in November, Future Shorts Festival will be the first worldwide pop-up festival showcasing a stimulating array of short films from around the world, both on and offline. Anyone anywhere can organise a screening and be part of this global experience that’s run by the creators of the acclaimed Secret Cinema. From London to Moscow, Melbourne to Jakarta, the screenings take place across a colossal network of music halls, cinemas, theatres, galleries, clubs and warehouses, creating the next generation of film festivals.

From November 1st to January 31st 2012 as part of the quarterly format, expect programme highlights from the Oscar-winner “God of Love” (see trailer below), BAFTA-winning “The Eagleman Stag” and Sundance-winner “Deeper Than Yesterday.” The short films will even be showcased alongside live music, DJs and art. So be sure to join filmmakers, festival partners and the anticipated audience of a half-million in this festival that takes place in over a staggering 50 cities and 17 countries.
