New Era Introducing Announces Headwear Design Winner

New Era Introducing have just announced the winner of their ‘Most Unique Display Of Self-Expression In Headwear Design’ talent scout. And winning the £10,000 bursary is 23 year old Lina Al-Amoudi, from United Arab Emirates. Ain’t she a lucky girl.

Deservedly so however. Wanting to provide an insight into her culture, Lina took her inspiration from the tale of Bilquis, aka the Queen of Sheeba and, the resulting headgear is certainly something to behold. Delicately handcrafted, four wooden panels comprise a symbolic crown which tells the story of the Queen’s leadership, as well as her role as a mother.
