Exhibition Preview: New Artists – NA
For one week only, Richie Culver is joining forces with artistic duo Shorvon and Hunter in an exhibition that will be featured in the Maggs Gallery from 1st- 5th December. This is one exhibition that you do not want to miss, so make sure you don’t.
Culver, of spraying his ex-girlfriend’s new house with the words “I loved you, you just couldn’t see it” fame, will be showcasing a collection of old photos and sharp-witted text, creating art with a compelling sound-bite that probes both famous and more intimate historical moments, as well as some work from the controversial ‘Ray’ series.
Shorvon and Hunter, meanwhile, have created a number of new pieces for the exhibition exploring the changing way in which we experience the news, in particular the decline of the newspaper using Polaroid photography, a defunct medium itself, as part of the physical manifestation of this process.
Promising to be an interesting, insightful and intelligent showcase, this New Artists – NA exhibition will most definitely be worth a look.
