Aquascutum To Open New Store

Luxury! Luxury! That’s right… Luxury! Coming back into the honorable arms of British ownership, Aquascutum, the exquisite British fashion brand is delighted to announce the opening of a new freestanding store at 3 Cabot Place, Canary Wharf, on 24th November 2011. HUZZAH!

Founded by John Emery (1851), a man who set out to conquer the unpredictable British weather; finding it hard to understand? Me too, it’s still and will always be a MASSIVE pain. Emery came up with the name Aquascutum, meaning WaterShield – You can see why. Having invented and patented the innovative technique of shower-proofing wools, Emary soon went on to tackle the gruesome climate of WWI with fashion. Even with an excessive amount of blood, mud and rain… we Brits always dress to impress, whatever the occasion.

Even still, Aquascutum continues to dress the powerful, from British Royalty, politicians and stars of the silver screen. Its heritage is rooted in excellent British tailoring and to this day delivers an understated, British elegance. Aquascutum is available online at Aquascutum.co.uk and in key department stores and boutiques globally, including Harrods, Selfridges, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys.

The new store will carry luxury tailoring and outerwear for men, and for the first time at Canary Wharf, offer a stunning selection of contemporary womenswear from both Aquascutum London and Aquascutum Collection – the brand’s directional runway collection – as seen on the international catwalk at London Fashion Week. Aquascutum’s stylish accessories also feature.
So c’mon ladies and gentlemen, your elegance is just round the corner.
