Preview: Nicolas Jaar ‘Don’t Break My Love’ Tour

It’s been nearly half a year since off-kilter sonic maverick Nicolas Jaar graced London, but we’ve got some grand ole news for you today because the man himself is returning.

Following a stellar year of accolades – he’s no.2 in Rough Trade’s end of year chart and no.4 in Mojo’s electronica albums of the year – 2012 already looks gleaming. For his ‘Don’t Break My Love’ gig at the Camden Roundhouse, Nico is being joined by Acid Pauli and, for his UK debut, Soul Keita.

This performance on February 2nd will mark the end of his tour and will also be a showcase for his own label Clown & Sunset – a music company and outlet for Jaar’s most intimate work. And just to heighten the excitement, Soul Keita, one of Clown & Sunset’s founding artists, will be premiering his new live set. The twenty-year-old Ethiopian musician and painter recently moved to Paris from his hometown, Addis Ababa, where he is composing new music and developing visual art that exhilarates. So you’ll be simply spoilt for electrifying entertainment.
