Samantha Pleet & Wolverine present The Bonny Boot

Introducing The Wolverine 1000 Mile Collection by Samantha Pleet, whereby the designer has collaborated with American heritage boot maker for this 2012 women’s footwear collection, ‘The Bonny Boot.’

The collection are Wolverine’s first-ever women’s collaboration amalgamating the skill and design aesthetic of Samantha Pleet with the rich, rugged heritage of the Michigan-based footwear brand.

This boot personifies the rich historical tapestry within its design fibers to create enchanting and comfortable footwear.

“The Bonny Boot is named for the 18th century Caribbean pirate and treasure hunter Anne Bonny, who of course represents water. A red haired beauty and the daughter of a profitable merchant, she went on to marry a famous pirate at sea and the two of them plundered away. There are many stories about her daring yet mysterious life. The Bonny Boot, with its simple, classic design, will look great with any disguise. The buckle belt acts as the sole closure of this easy-to-get-on beauty if you need to make a quick escape.”  (Wolverine1000mile.com/uk)

The boot not only encapsulates Miss Pleet’s feminine aesthetic sensitivity but also adds comfort and durability to a classic and versatile boot design, complete with a smart and sturdy heel. Also from the range, includes the ‘Earhart,’ a 15-inch riding boot made using exquisite Horween Chromexcel leather, a kiltie oxford shoe and two heeled 5.5inch boots.

Wolverine has been making these quality boots since 1883, whilst Samantha began her dandy designing in her Brooklyn studio, since the autumn of 2006. Find out more on the above-mentioned website.
