Live’s Guide To Festivals: Live At Leeds
It’s not long now til’ Live At Leeds 2012, so we thought we’d give you the lowdown in what to expect from the weekend..
Now in its 6th year, Live At Leeds takes place over the bank holiday on 4th May to 7th May. Rebranded this year to The Live At Leeds Weekend, it has quickly become an institution in the UK festival calendar. Becoming renowned for its bang for buck quality, the line-up this year features a spectacular array of household names, and upcoming talent, giving you a chance to view what’s hot ahead of this summer.
While Live At Leeds does offer a broad array of live music, it’d seem too simple to just stop there. So this year, in partnership with Leeds Met University, they’ve come up with Unconference, a series of lectures, panels and workshops on the music industry for those who want to take something more savvy away from the weekend. Already confirmed to appear are:
Tom Robinson – BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing
Sean Adams – founder of Drowned In Sound, The Sunday Times columnist
As well as representatives from West Yorkshire BBC Introducing, I Like Press, Big Life Management, Loudhailer PR, Sentric Music Publishing, Work It Media and more.
Registration is free. Just email unconference@liveatleeds.com to guarantee your place.
So why not go for it? 3 days of spectacular music, all for the price of a curry.
