Le Baron provided the backdrop (and copious potent cocktails) to the launch of London Boutiques this week. Showing some love for London’s upcoming designer talent the outlet provides an exclusive edit of the fash capital’s undiscovered boutiques including: Trilogy, Cream, Austique, Boundary 11 and Question-air.
We were shimmied in by rows of masquerading paps, less talk of the reason we were all there and more frivolous conversation on our respective sartorial choices. Five minutes in and the: “OMG blouse! Vintage!?” could be ticked off our invisible ‘overheard at fashion parties’ list. Ten minutes in and a new addition was learned: “It’s a goldie not an oldie,” whereby you add a piece of gold (goldie) to an old item (oldie). Genius.
Back to the Boutiques: Think of it as the high-end equivalent to asos. Alongside the newbies are the old-timers including: Vivienne Westwood, Hervé Léger, Acne, Stella McCartney and Temperley London.
The site will also collaborate with a handpicked assortment of the city’s most prolific bloggers connecting customers with all variety of industry expert.
