London In Stereo Presents… Gigs Of The Week #6

It’s hot. Very hot. So to cool yourselves down, London In Stereo has this week recommended gigs from Splashh and shows at refreshing-sounding venues like Water Rats. These are all pretty much deceiving in their names as they’ll probably be in stuffy venues with not much else other than Red Stripe to refresh you – but don’t let that deter you from going as there are gonna be some fricking awesome live shows this week. Plus, if you don’t fancy being sweaty in a small room, Field Day and Apple Cart festival are happening at the weekend which means you can perspire in an open space instead. HOORAY. See below for LiS’ tip top live recommendations.

London In Stereo’s Gigs Of The Week

Girls // Weird Dreams – The Forum – Monday 28th May
Girls are set to return again to delight us with what is bound to be another spectacular set. If you haven’t caught this band live yet, now’s your chance and you shouldn’t over look it. Support comes from the also excellent Weird Dreams, so get there early to make sure you catch both.

Hundred In The Hands // Young Man – Madame JoJos (White Heat) – Tuesday 29th May
Although they went somewhat under the radar, Hundred in the Hands are a fantastic band. Full of pop hits and electronic brilliance, they’ll fix you right up. White Heat is always great for a dance too.

Bob Mould // Cloud Nothings – Shepherds Bush Empire – Friday 1st June
Bob Mould has gathered together an incredible selection of musicians to play the legendary album ‘Copper Blue’ in its entirety. He’ll also be playing other bits of his solo work and of course Husker Du things too. This is one of those once in a life time gigs, okay?!
