Club Beat #35: Preview: NDKj – Sing For The Moment

The Italians have done it again! Another summer smash is heading our way, and this time it’s from NDKj. Soon to be released on Heatflow Records, ‘Sing For The Moment’ is our pick for June.

Andrea Quirico, aka NDKj, came to our attention through his releases with Hotfingers, with tracks like Everybody Get Up and We Will Rock You with Luigi Rocca. He first started DJing back in 1998 and soon moved onto production, having been inspired by big names playing hard but groovy techno. In 2004 he met DJ Mauro Alpha, who he would collaborate with on several tracks over the coming years. 2006 saw the release of his first production, Dark Ages, first collaboration with Mauro Alpha, Pallette, and first EP, Put It Where You Want. In 2007, NDKj founded Heatflow Records with Marcello Concialdi through which he released the Dishes EP in 2009, which reached the beatport tech-house top 10 and was charted by Steve Angello and Markantonio. Nominated by Wally Lopez as his breakthrough DJ/producer of 2010 with Carlo Lio and Jay Lumen and by Mark Knight as his favourite artist of 2011 and rising star for 2012, NDKj has released tracks on several labels, including Cr2, Spinnin, Factomania and Toolroom. He has collaborated with and remixed some of our favourite producers; check out his Running Out EP with Wally Lopez and his remixes of John Acquaviva and Olivier Giacomotto’s Feel Awright and Reuben Keeney’s Give it Some Time. At Planet Notion, we’ve also really enjoyed his tracks like Step Back and we’re looking forward to his next release.

Out on 18th June, Sing For The Moment is a grooving tech house track. It has already received support from Roger Sanchez, DJ PP, Olav Basoski, Belocca and Richie Hawtin and will be hitting the beatport charts soon. We’re really looking forward to hearing this in clubs over the summer.

Sing For The Moment is out on Heatflow on 18th June:
