Exclusive Track: Arsenal – One Day At A Time (Com Truise Remix)

American producer Com Truise has delivered a cracking remix of a track by Belgian duo Arsenal, and us lot here at PlanetNotion have an exclusive stream available for you to listen to right now. Nice, right?

The delightfully named producer – real name Seth Haley – has been making a name for himself as a purveyor of, in his own words, “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk”. Now that’s a bit of a mouthful, but it doesn’t stop the music being great. He’s also good at remixing, too, as this track proves.

Belgian electro-pop duo Arsenal have been going strong for over a decade now, churning out a number of albums and building a sturdy fanbase over this time, and hopefully this remix will put their fantastic music in the spotlight.

Building on an already great track from Arsenal would be a tough ask for any producer, but it looks like Com Truise has pulled it off – and comfortably. The track in question, ‘One Day At A Time’, taken from Arsenal’s latest record Lokemo, is all kinds of wonderful. Building on the ethereal original, the remix takes the track to new, experimental heights, adding a pulsating drum beat and beefing up the already impressive synth-line, making something quite different, yet not so much so that it sounds like a different track. Basically, it’s lovely, and you won’t hear many better tracks today.
