LCM: YMC

Set in the basement of Phonica Records (perhaps the perfect, laid back urban venue for such a brand), YMC’s SS13 show channelled what are arguably the trademark values of the brand: casual, street-inspired clothes with a twist, focusing on the small details.

An eclectic mix of pastels, detailed Chinese prints and the occasional flash of leopard, YMC was a mash up of bold and delicate. Shirts were casual and light, tops simple but bold and silhouettes were of the loose, relaxed shape that YMC do best. In a nod to prep-chic, but in a way that was everything but, jumpers were thrown over shoulders and matched with co-ordinated casual tops and chinos.

YMC’s casual and refined details at their best, SS13 was made for the streets, the party and the morning after; all-round stylish pieces with a wearability that only enhanced their appeal.
