LCM: Joseph Abboud

Joseph Abboud has come to London for the first time in the brand’s history to showcase its SS13 collection. And their American influence is clearly evident in the collection’s choice of red, white and blue colour palette.

An old-school, preppy, tennis-esque vibe emulated throughout the collection with a mixture of fitted V-neck knits worn over shirts and ties. Models sported plain, white plimsolls to focus our full attention on the men in the menswear. Lightweight, patent jackets rendered in reds and blues offered a stylish alternative to the all-weather mac, with others cinched in at the waist. Oh-so simplistic in design, the vibrant primary colourings popped out against the clinical whites making for, an overall,  super-clean set. Patterned ties and striped shirts provided  a twenty twelve twist on the collection’s playtime with the past.
