Red Bull Music Academy Presents: MJ Cole and Friends
Red Bull music Academy is teaming up with house and UK garage producer MJ Cole for a series of shows around the UK at the end of June.
Cole says of the events: “It’s a blast to be aboard the Red Bull Music Academy train once again for this string of action packed nights in the height of the UK Summer. So glad to be joined by such class acts in these far-reaching venues. Looking forward to it immensely”
The producer is teaming up with producer, DJ and vocalist Nightwave, Hip-hop and reggae DJ and rapper Serocee and dance producer Krystal Klear for the shows, and is set to headline the shows with his own brand of UK garage.
The shows are set to hit Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s on June 25th, Dundee’s Reading Rooms on the 26th, Liverpool’s Binary Cell on the 27th, Swindon’s Suju on the 28th, and London’s Lock Tavern on the 29th. Tickets for the Edinburgh, Dundee and Swindon shows cost £5, while the Liverpool show costs £2 and the London show is free. Tickets are available on the door or through each venue.
To make things even more interesting, the lineup for each show changes all the time. While MJ Cole and Nightwave are mainstays of the tour, playing at all the nights, Serocee only plays Edinburgh, Dundee and Liverpool, while Krystal Klear plays all but the London show, the final show of the tour and the only one that intriguingly promises “more acts to be announced”. Considering the pedigree of the acts playing on the rest of the tour, we’re more than a little bit excited to see who Red Bull Music Academy have got in store for this one.
But, wherever you see the show and whoever you see performing, you’re almost certainly in for a good night.
