Introducing our BOTW: AlunaGeorge

Yesterday I was in H&M and I heard AlunaGeorge pumping over the radio. It was pretty awesome. As a musical elitist it’s sometimes hard to acknowledge that a band you like may possess mass appeal, but with this achingly sexy London duo it’s pretty obvious from listen number one that they warrant head bopping from every music fan across the country. ‘Cause AlunaGeorge make pop music at it’s finest.

‘Just A Touch’ exemplifies their 90s sensibilities whilst embracing Aluna’s maple syrup RNB vocals, creating the perfect tempo and atmosphere for sensuous hip rotation. I haven’t scrobbled anything to my last.fm for weeks as I’m embarrassed of just how often I listen to this track.

And did I mention that both Aluna and George are just as frickin’ sexy as they sound? I’m getting pretty hot and bothered at the prospect of drooling over these two for the next week. They’ve even done an incredible remix of Lana Del Ray’s ‘Born to Die’ which makes them attractive to those inclined towards inexplicable lips and necrophilia.
