One Hundred and Fifty! Bacardi’s Birthday Celebrations

Bacardi celebrate their 150th anniversary in style in July, with the launch of Bacardi Beginnings and, in true Bacardi style, a bit of a shindig.

Bacardi Beginnings reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to new, emerging talent, with three of the most forward thinking and interesting acts in British music, Friendly Fires, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip and The 2 Bears) and Mylo, each choosing one hot new talent to mentor. So far, only Joe Goddard’s protege has been announced, and it’s the wonderful Jessie Ware. Not a bad place to start in our books.

While the rest of the acts are still to be announced, what is for sure is that we’ll be seeing them at Bacardi’s 150th anniversary party on July 10th at the Village Underground in Shoreditch, where both the mentors and the proteges are set to perform.
