London In Stereo Presents… Gigs Of The Week #12
If you’re one of the Really Sad Ravers that got turned away from Bloc this weekend only to traipse to Hyperdub’s sold out last minute night and splash in the rain down to XOYO’s FlyLo/The Weeknd-headlined show to find out it’s full and ended up lolling to a dirty bar in Dalston with too much NRG and dry ice then HERE’S YOUR POST-DISAPPOINTMENT REMEDY. (That sentence was too long but I don’t care because today I’ve had TWO SHOTS OF COFFEE today and am therefore neither into punctuation nor lower case letters.) London In Stereo has picked gigs fronted by Sunless ’97, Yeasayer and Max Cooper as their picks of the week, so why not pop along to one of them? We’re also eyeing up Lianne La Havas’and Poliça’s free instores at Rough Trade East on Monday and Thursday respectively, Drop Out Venus’ gig at the Macbeth tomorrow, and the mental I.R.O.K. at Power Lunches this Friday. See below for ALLOFTHEGIGS.
London In Stereo’s Gigs Of The Week
Sunless ‘97 // Sophie – The Old Blue Last - THURSDAY 12th JULY
For those of you who haven’t caught Sunless ‘97 live yet, head to the Old Blue Last to catch up. It’s a free show – the first one from Party Politics – and we can’t wait to see more awesome line-ups like this in the future.
Yeasayer – The Lexington - WEDNESDAY 11th JULY
A super small and special show from Yeasayer. If you miss out on tickets this time (Click HERE for the chance to buy one) never fear – they’re back in September at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Max Cooper // D/R/U/G/S // Rival Consoles // Enjoyed – Electrowerkz - FRIDAY 13th JULY
The Fields night makes its fourth excursion into the night with an immense evening of forward-thinking electronica. Max Cooper’s sweetly dark brand of techno is a perfect fit for Elektrowerkz’s dingy inners.
