Bacardi Beginnings Party goes down a storm
Last night saw the glitterati out in force for Bacardi’s 150th bash in Shoreditch. Not only did the photographers have to recharge their batteries cause of all the celebrity snapping they were doing, but there were amazing live performances from Joe Goddard, Mylo, Friendly Fires, Jessie Ware, Ronika and Alunageorge.
Soon-to-be breakfast DJ Nick Grimshaw acted as host for the evening that launched ‘Bacardi Beginnings’. The campaign features three of the best artists in UK music - Friendly Fires, Mylo and Joe Goddard. Each have selected an up-and-coming artist to mentor and the first (chosen by Sir Goddard) is the vocalist and hype-monger Jessie Ware. We like to imagine this mentoring programme is like what they used to have a school if you weren’t great at Maths, but in reality we’re all aware that it’ll just involve Jessie and Joe being cool in a studio and making some incredible music. And nurturing up and coming acts is exactly the sort of thing that we can get on board with.
Check out some snaps from the night in the gallery below. For more information about Bacardi Beginnings and their new ‘It Started with a Party’ campaign, head over to their website.
