Introducing Our BOTW: The Chapman Family

This brooding band from Stockton-On-Tees were heavily hyped and featured in many of the best new bands lists back in 2009 before releasing their debut album Burn Your Town in 2011. They’ve followed this up with Cruel Britannia, this year’s album filled with shrill guitars and post-punk vibes.

In fact, they’re probably a pretty accurate modern day embodiment of the genre. Recent track ‘This English Life‘ even contains elements of screamo and their video for ‘Summer Song‘ is pretty much lead singer Kingsley Chapman standing against a barren blue sky trying to suffocate himself with plastic bags of various colours. HOWEVER, their latest vid’s called ‘No More Tears’ so positive vibes are on the horizon – we’ll be posting that later this week. We will also be publishing a Q & A, free download, and review of the EP – so keep your eyes peeled.
