Introducing Our BOTW: Post War Years

Even though the current international political climate means that these are not technically ‘Post War Years’, the band of the same name like to keep it optimistic. Simon, Tom, Fred and Harry have apparently been around since 5th February 1845, making their band 167 years old – about the same age as Dumbledore. From that comparisson, one would deduct that their music is either similar to an old man playing the lute or something quite magical – and THANK GOD it is actually the latter.

PWY make synth-washed pop anthems that are the perfect listen, especially this week, to soundtrack the return of British sunshine. So purchase their Glass House EP if you want to have a euphoric musical accompaniment whilst you’re strolling around Spitalfields or catching some rays in your local park. Or, you know, wait ’til we review it later this week until you fully commit, and instead download this brilliant mixtape they made the other day – a perfect amalgam of pure hip-hop and succulent synth pop sounds. Look out for some more PWY-related musics and writings throughout the week.
