Label Profile: Haizhen Wang

Launched in 2010 Haizhen Wang is a contemporary womenswear label based in West London near Portobello Road, having just made the Top 3 of Fashion Fringe, and with Christopher Bailey currently mentoring the designer at Burberry; before his debut solo catwalk show at London Fashion Week in September 2012.

Graduating with an MA(Hons) in Womenswear Fashion from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Haizhen has pattern cut at Boudicca, tailored at All Saints, and designed in Italy at Max Mara to master his craft.

A fan of the work of McQueen and Yamamoto, Haizen produces clothes with high quality fabrics and excellent craftsmanship to create sophisticated, modern designs for he says, women aged 25-45, although current items are produced to high cost in England the designer is considering moving production to China to reduce the cost of his product and make it an easier purchase.
