Classic films and a new coffee shop at Genesis cinema
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend (and want to get away from the whole Olympics craze stirring London), why not give the Genesis cinema a go? Having been refurbished recently, this cinema has been expanded with a new reception area and a Studio 5 cinema screen (complete with an inside screen bar, blankets and… love seats!) Best of all, the Genesis cinema now also boasts a brand new coffee shop, which of course serves delicious coffees brought in from local roaster Nude espresso.
The Genesis will be re-launching its ‘Auteurnative season’ on 23rd August, which is sure to please moviegoers with a curiosity and taste for rarely seen classic films. Included in the list of films this season, are Agnes Verda’s Cléo from 5 to 7, rom com Pretty Romance by Korean director Kim Joung-hoon, and Vincent Gallo’s debut feature Buffalo 66 – among many others…
A hop and a skip away from Stepney Green and Whitechapel tube stations, this cinema may just turn into our favourite hangout of the moment. For more information, visit www.genesiscinema.co.uk.
