Topman CTRL: Barbarossa – Pagliaccio

We’ve been going on about our once-BOTW Barbarossa so much here on PlanetNotion, it’s almost as though he’s turning into our new best friend (we premiered his Battles video, offered you the same song in the form of a free download, and even published the artist’s snazzy Moodboard). Our endless raving has been done with perfectly good reason, though, and this Topman CTRL Lock Up Session video is an excellent way for us to prove it: Barbarossa, like his fellow Lock Up Session performer DDark, was invited to unveil his raw talent and musical abilities by temporarily putting himself back in square one – using a limited amount of equipment and performing in a garage-like environment, with nothing but his wonderful talent and sensational voice to back him up.

For this unique version of his song Pagliaccio, Barbarossa claims his goal was to “have something of the original recording but also take it somewhere a bit different”. We think he pulled this off quite well, don’t you?
