Adidas and Fred Butler help you remember the London 2012 Olympic games

Unless you’ve been hiding under a very large, very sound proof rock for the last month, you may have noticed that London has been hosting the 2012 Olympic games. Although your view may have been somewhat impaired by the unbelievable number of medals around the British olympian’s necks, the more eagle eyed or fashion conscious amongst you will have spied that Team GB are decorated in iconic designs by Stella McCartney.

To celebrate the success of the games, the awe inspiring achievements of our athletes and the stylish kit by Stella McCartney, Adidas have launched ‘Miadidas Customisers’. Miadidas is an art project that allows artists, athletes and customers from around the world to customise their very own unique pair of shoes, directly inspired by their favourite moments of the London 2012 Olympic games.

Adidas have teamed up with 9 artists, designers or ‘customisers’ for this project, including Fred Butler who is fast becoming one of the UK’s biggest emerging fashion talents. Butler is based right here in London and she has already designed for Lady Gaga, Vogue, MTV and Selfridges.

If Jessica Ennis, Bradley Wiggins or Mo Farah’s gold medals inspired you to get moving or to get fit, instead of dusting off your dirty old trainers vists the Adidas facebook page here to make your very own, brand spanking new and unique pair. All you have to do spill your most memorable moment from the 2012 games and Adidas could customise your shoes to match.
