WWII nostalgia with Schott NYC

A clothing company armed with a wealth of history, Schott NYC return to their roots with the new Autumn/Winter collection. The classic cut trousers and aviator jackets envelope the menswear collection in a haze of WWII nostalgia.

A real success story, the company was founded in 1913 by the Schott brothers in a basement on the lower east side of Manhattan. Word soon spread about the brother’s talents and the innovative way they designed clothing, Schott NYC were the first company to use zippers on coats.

During the second world war Schott were commissioned by the U.S. airforce to produce the bomber jacket and during the 1950s Hollywood screen icon Marlon Brando sat astride his motorbike wearing a Schott perfecto leather motorcycle jacket. Throughout the punk movement of the 1970s and 1980s Schott’s leathers were adopted by stars such as The Ramones, Joan Jett and The Sex Pistols.

Schott NYC is still ran and owned by the third and forth generations of the Schott family and with their AW 12 collection they give you a little taste of their history.
