Introducing: SWW

Here at Notion, it’s always a happy day when we discover innovative emerging talent from around the globe. Sarah Williams White (otherwise known as SWW) is certainly one of them: the young UK-based artist sounds like what would happen if you were to take a bit of Feist’s spunk, mix it with SIA’s playful vocal style, and give them a nice big dose of the sultry-yet-quirky London coolness which makes SWW so unique. With her appealing voice, SWW sends us up into the clouds and spins highly addictive songs – take this as a warning before you, too, develop an unhealthy obsession with her fancy fresh music.

SWW released her previous single If I Smile At You / Take Your Time back in April, and is now about to wow the music industry with her majorly awesome EP ‘Your Silence Is Killing Me’ – an EP which, to the delight of SWW fans out there, will be released in September and will feature remixes by the artist’s brother Paul White as well as Dan le Sac.

We had a chance to listen to this EP, and of a couple things we’re positive: we’ve fallen completely in love with her track Always, a tune which showcases her vocal skills, and we can’t get enough of Your Silence Is Killing Me, which we think will become her biggest hit – we listened to this one with much enjoyment and, just about 55 seconds into it, this piece of musical bliss had us immediately stepping – no, prancing – onto the SWW bandwagon. We know this fine young artist is here to stay.

Catch SWW on stage at Bestival on 9th September, where she will be performing alongside Dan le Sac.
