Science meets design this weekend with Super/Collider
Pop science collective Super/Collider are getting ready to treat all design lovers and science geeks this weekend, by curating the Vauxhall Ampera x Super/Collider Science Weekend. Held from the 17th to the 19th of August, this event is inspired by the launch of the Vauxhall Ampera, a new and innovative electric vehicle. It will present installations by the great designer Patrick Stevenson-Keating, as well as host experimentations focused on the one question – ‘When we no longer need petrol pumps, what will go on in the filling stations of tomorrow?’
The Science Weekend will also showcase a bunch of fun demonstrations, including hydrogen fuel cell racing and nightly laser fusion light shows. And if ever you’ll need to satisfy your non-science oriented cravings, pizza, prosecco and margheritas will be available at the bar for you to enjoy…
If you have an appreciation for design installations and won’t say no to making some educational scientific discoveries for a day, pop on over to the new Filling Station in King’s Cross this weekend. Find out more about this event at www.super-collider.com.
