G-Shock celebrate at Boardmasters

In the run up their 30th anniversary, G-Shock have 4 events to celebrate and to remind us all of the 4 key pillars of their brand; art, sport, fashion and music. To kick start their series of birthday bashes, they went all Cliff Richard, boarded a double decker and  headed all the way to the lovely Cornish Coast. Unlike Sir Cliff, G-shock planned to party at Boardmasters. Parked on the hill of Fristal Beach, the G-Shock bus was swarming with pro surfers, skaters and bmxers. Not only does Boardmasters hold some of the fiercest surf, skate and BMX competitions in the country, it has long been considered Cornwall’s top music festival.

Because G-Shock believe they have created the toughest watch of all time, surfer Charly Martin and skateboarder Harry Lintell were given one each, which really proved that the watches can withstand the waves and ramps.

Boardmasters served as the first in a series of anniversary events, keep an eye on their website here to find out what else they have planned. G-Shock have also collaborated with Fashion East for an anniversary collection, take a peek at the gorgeous collection here.
