Lulu Guinness, Tatty Devine and Giles Deacon celebrate Minnie Mouse at LFW
During September Disney plan to celebrate the most stylish rodent in the world, Minnie Mouse! Since she was revealed as Mickey’s love interest in 1928 Minnie has often been some young girls first ever experience of fashion, and her longevity has proved that her style is timeless.
An impressive array of designers have stepped forward for the project; including Giles Deacon, Michael van der Ham, Richard Nicoll, Piers Atkinson, Bunney, Husam el Odeh in collaboration with Luke Hersheson, Katie Hillier, Lulu Guinness, Tatty Devine and Terry de Havilland will all create their own interpretation of Minnie Mouse’s signature bow and polkadots.
The ‘Minnie Mouse Must Haves’ creations are set to have a dramatic unveiling at London Fashion Week, then will be auctioned with the help of eBay, to support the BFC/Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation. If this Richard Nicoll sketch is anything to go by, the collection is not to be missed.
