It’s time to get yer skank on! Notting Hill Carnival 2012

It’s that time of year again. Just when we think summer is going to last forever, but really another year of uni, or work, is on our doorstep. Luckily though, Notting Hill Carnival is here again this year, for the 48^th year running, to let us celebrate the last of summer, as well as the culture of the Afro-Caribbean communities.

There will be Jerk chicken with rice and peas, there will be exotic dancers and a parade, but best of all, there will be MUSIC. Trusting the Caribbean to bring us the best type of beats to bring our summers to an end with a bang. Definitely time to get your skank on…

Red Bull Music Academy and Major Lazer Soundsystem, for the 5^th year running, are hosting a day of free booze & bbq along with a sick line-up; Major Lazer, Sean Paul, Mele B2B Lil Silva, Hudson Mohawke & Lunice, Raf Riley and more.

The ONLY way (unless you have special friends that can get you in) you can get guestlist is if you go on www.redbull.co.uk and sign up for the second and last batch of names for the list, on Friday 24^th of August at 10AM.

If not, there will be enough music to go round from the local bars and the outdoor soundsystems.
