Shut Up and Play the Hits isn’t just a concert recording, it is an intimate portrait of the band’s frontman and founder James Murphy. It documents the events leading up to the mammoth, sell out, 4 hour gig at Madison Square Gardens and it also shows Murphy confronting the reality of his decision to end LCD at their peak. Directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern (who made the Grammy nominated Blur film, No Distance Left to Run) Shut Up and Play the Hits will be screened in the UK for one day only, September 4th at selected cinemas.
