Farrell launch AW12 line exclusively at Selfridges

Last night, Planet Notion were invited to Selfridges for an evening to celebrate the launch of Farrell’s new AW12 range. A menswear brand owned by Robbie Williams, Farrell is the namesake of his beloved grandfather Jack Farrell.

Interviewed by Dylan Jones in Selfridges’ exclusive rooftop bar, Robbie was full of jokes; his questionable dress sense while in Take That, when he got fat, that whole UFO spotting thing and of course, Rudebox all got a mention. Still able to poke fun at himself and win over an audience, Robbie  remains the eternal cheeky chappy.

If you like Robbie then all the better, if you think he’s a bit of a knacker, then don’t let that put you off, a lot of thought has went into the collection. Back in November, Robbie recruited former Burberry design director Ben Dickens, the wealth of his experience is clearly reflected in the clean, sharp tailoring. The AW 12 collection is vintage inspired, paying homage to the timeless style of the English gentleman.

The line is available exclusively on the first floor of Selfridges, Farrell will be housed alongside contemporary labels such as Acne, A.P.C. And The Kooples. You can also follow Farrell on twitter here, but those of a nervous disposition be warned, Robbie has been known to tweet topless pictures.
