Introducing our BOTW: Gabrielle Aplin
It sounds mega cheesy and cliche to say so, but at just 19 years old, Gabrielle Aplin has already come such a long way. Her career began by posting her own performances of covers by her favourite bands on youtube, now she is performing alongside them at some of the UK’s biggest festivals.
Managing to stand out from the crowds of hopefuls online, Gabby quickly developed a following. After uploading a video to BBC introducing, Gabby was invited to perform at her local radio station and later to Maida Vale studios to perform some tracks of her own and a cover of Coldplay’s Fix you. After two years of offers with various labels, Gabby announced via facebook that she was signing to Parlophone.
