Top of the Shops: Anna Boutique
Anna boutique: technically a chain with eight stores across the UK, but if the Primrose Hill edition is anything to go by then the ‘independent’ vibe is very much alive. A shabby-chic interior befitting the vintage cool area (which incidentally also boasts a dog and cat grooming parlour) houses a checklist of fashionable wants (needs).
To illustrate the point: The likes of Ash shoes, MiH jeans, Chinti and Parker and Duffy are laid out in perfect buying stories around the boutique. Certain pieces provoke internal squeals of excitement (MiH leather jacket with denim sleeves, please) while quality basics keep the collection universal.
One little gripe is the shoe selection; six variations of the Chelsea boot is enough for anyone!
Jostling for space on its little Regent’s Park Road parade, Anna boutique is luckily the only one of its kind. There is vintage browsing in abundance but it has a monopoly on the fashion quota. Prices are high as you would expect, but definitely worth a visit!
