LFW SS13: Felder Felder
When Kate Nash opens a show and Charlotte Free is walking her infamous strut down the catwalk, it’s bound to be a good one. The prints were inspired the broken wings of butterflies (hence the collection was named ‘Broken Wings’) and old ruined Polaroid pictures. Their aim was to turn these not-so-obvious sources of inspiration into ‘things of beauty’. Still holding true to the fun and flirty Felder edge, this collection was somewhat more grown up than past seasons. Silk halter neck floor sweeping dresses and matching printed trousers suits played the adult part along more light hearted leather mini skirts, jackets and sheer crop tops. The prints certainly were beautiful and made the most classic tailored shaped seem new, modern and womanly. I guess they achieved what they were looking to.
